We got the Squeezebox talking to last.fm today. And in our recommendations stream?

Ozzy Osbourne and Dweezil Zappa doing Stayin’ Alive. Oh. Yes.
As a comparison to my NetVibes experience I’ve just had the loveliest thing happen with last.fm… I finally got round to adding pyscrobbler to the list over at build.last.fm, and have just received an email a) thanking me and b) giving me a free subscription. What lovely people. And it turns out that I should have been a subscriber anyway – I’m currently on holiday, miles away from my stereo and my recommendations radio is proving a real god send.
Yes, it’s nice to know my listening habits by time, but knowing them by volume would be nicer. There are certain records that always get turned up full blast. Wouldn’t knowing the volume give a much better representation of how the listener feels about music?
(Note to self. Do not blog when riotously pissed.)
17%, apparently. I like last.fm toys
I’ve just been over to my Last.fm page to discover that, even though we’ve both played well over 5,000 tracks, my good friend Stef and I are musical neighbours. In fact, given that the other two above him are actually my two Sleevenotez test accounts that are actually playing /my/ record collection, he is the single person most similar to me on the entire of last.fm.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is weird. Apparently there aren’t many people out there who share our love for a heady combination of Manu Chao, Eels and The Flaming Lips.
