Just started watching the ICC champions Trophy (Zimbabwe v India today) and was looking for previous stats. Went to cricket4.com and found that they have a Java applet with the entire Hawkeye stats for the past England/India series!
How fantastic is that?:
Unfortunately it really shows up the English tactics in that series…
This says it all really. A message to Saddam spelt out in American servicemen. Nice. (picture from Reuters, btw)
Very tough little game where you have to move these little things around a maze, avoiding the nasties along the way. Takes a while to get tough, but it does…
When you have a spare hour or so, telnet to
towel.blinkenlights.nl. It’s the entire of Star Wars IV in animated ASCII art. Nice. I imagine his mum is very proud!
If you’ve ever had a row about the name or artist of a song used in an advert this site (commercial breaks and beats) has to be the most useful site ever. You can search either by song, artist or by advertised product – absolutely fantastic.
Admittedly it hasn’t resolved the argument I’m having about the current Ford Fiesta ad, but there you go. Good nonetheless.
Just finished this – got bought it for my birthday. Dunno if you saw the TV series that resulted from
this book, but the basic premise is that Dave Gorman (comedian) and his mate Danny Wallace (journalist) try
and prove a bet that there are ‘loads’ of other Dave Gormans (Gormen?) in the world.
While the story
itself is funny what actually comes across and makes this book funnier than the TV is the relationship
between Danny and Dave, and exactly what their quest/obsession does to their relationship and their
relationships with their friends/loved ones.
First book in a while that’s actually made me laugh
out loud – highly recommended!
Heh… Cat dynamics, bringing cat technology to the common man.
The BBC reports that some scientists managed to kill mice by giving the doses of amphetamines and playing the prodigy to them… Read about it here.
If it’s anything like my experience of exactly the same circumstances at V97 I’m not very surprised.
Friend of mine found this little beauty at Argos. Apparently the same company make matching side and occasional tables. I think I’ve found my new living room look!
Good news… Industry insiders say sales of ladies’ thongs now match those of traditional knickers
Unfortunately you then see this paragraph…
“Separate research suggests one in three women would wear no underwear beneath an evening dress five years ago, but with the rise in the popularity of thongs this had fallen to one in nine.”
So, more thongs = less commandoes. Not sure I’m so happy after all…
