Er. It seems some people have forgotten that the Internet can be a nasty place sometimes. Guys, just because you live in a leafy suburb doesn’t mean the rough kids can’t ride their bikes up and down your street. Jeff Jarvis puts it better.
What irks me more than anything is that both Jimbo and Timbo should remember the good old days of usenet. It’s really simple - DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS.
Edit: I’ve just reread the wiki page that defines our supposed code of conduct (”the blogmandments” perhaps?) and lo! number 6 says “we ignore the trolls”. Pardon? What exactly is this, except a huge troll bating exercise? Idiots.
