Best selling album of the year fails to ship 4 million copies. Not a great surprise, but it is a rapid and consistent decline. Am I the only one that thinks that downloads don’t replace the physical product?

Yet another farcical American patent. This time it’s Microsoft attempting to patent RSS feeds and readers. Because of course, that was a Microsoft invention, wasn’t it?

While this story is itself very very disturbing (Ukraine babies in stem cell probe) what worries me more is that it will no doubt play into the tabloid/neocon hands:

I can just see the argument: “look how evil it is, we must stop all stem cell research”, rather than “look what our prohibition is creating”.
