I got a K750i. It’s lovely. I can’t actually believe that I’ve got a 2 MegaPixel camera (with auto focus), high quality mp3 player, wireless email client AND mobile phone all in one device, that’s smaller and more usable than any phone I’ve previously owned. Anyway, enough drooling…

We use FreeSSL to provide our SSL certs for mail and any other authenticated access to our servers (the wiki and so on), and unfortunately the root cert in the key chain for FreeSSL is not supported by the Sony Ericsson. It’s a sign of how far technology has come that this is no longer a problem - here’s a howto for installing a non standard cert into your K700/K750/W800. If you’re getting ‘unknown TLS/SSL Certificate Authority’ when trying to collect your mail this is the guide for you. Only one thing to add - when he say’s “this is the one you have to beam to your phone” what he means is “copy the file to the root directory of your phone through the Sony Ericsson file manager”…
