Should cricket be free to air, or should the ECB make slightly more money for the grass roots game and sell the rights for test cricket to Sky? After finding that Channel 4 brings an average of 8 times the viewers to cricket than Sky, and that having won the rights to test cricket as well as county cricket Sky is now only committing to 2 county championship games a year I am well and truly sold… Keep Cricket Free. Seeing my dad (63) and my maiden great aunt (78) forced into giving Murdoch �36 a month to support a sport they’ve already given more than 50 years of their lives to just adds to the feeling. Grass roots support for the game is hard enough to come by, without putting up yet another barrier to entry.
