The ugly web problem
Posted at 7:41am on Sunday, May 22nd, 2005And how to solve it using God’s own language… I’m a new convert to python, primarily for some very specific reasons (namely zope and plone, software I’ve been recommending for years but have never used personally), but as yet I haven’t managed to find a simple solution to something like offmessage. PHP may be ugly, but it handles the web perfectly and offmessage.com took me about 8 hours to build. Starting from scratch in python has brought me to a stand still, not for the lack of syntax or skill, but the lack of an obvious web framework to serve my content through. Even the hardcore can’t give me a straight answer.
I await the results of the cook off with interest and shall be reading the blog avidly.
