Not that I’m a Man United fan (I’m not), but this looks well dodgy and likely extremely bad for one of the most successful clubs of the last decade.
Profit and greed have come off the bench and scored a hat-trick

Jon Lewis gets his call. Let’s hope he actually makes it on to the field. Glos will miss him, but England will benefit.

Stolen whole heartedly from yesterday’s things post, but worth reposting ‘cos it’s really quite interesting and you may not want to read the rest:
Increasingly, size matters. Average house sizes in the EU (pdf): the EU-wide average is 87 square metres (approximately 936 square feet). In the US, the average house size is 2,123 square feet (197 square metres). More interesting stats available at This New House, a piece in Mother Jones magazine: ‘Since 1950, the average new [American] house has increased by 1,247 sq. ft. Meanwhile, the average household has shrunk by 1 person.’ You can download one of the sources, the Housing Facts, Figures & Trends 2004 report (pdf) from the National Association of Home Builders.
What frightens me is that UK houses at least are most definitely still shrinking, and if York is anything to go by, at an ever increasing rate. At least the Playstation has replaced the model railway and the Scalextric - no one’s got a living room big enough to play with them in any more anyway.

Seriously, this is both madness and sacrilege. Nutter. I only link to this so that you can sneer in his general direction.
