Yet again it appears that those in charge of the ECB have managed to show their ineptitude in another spectacular way. Sometimes you honestly think that for them “acting in the best interest of the English game” means strangling any possible success as quickly as possible, because that might breed popularity, and then all sorts of riff raff might start coming to the grounds…
