Kalakala

Posted at 8:39am on Thursday, July 15th, 2004

Not that I have an obsession with Art Deco or anything, but look at this: The Kalakala - the world’s first Art Deco ferry, currently undergoing a restoration. I love Art Deco transport.

New allmusic.com really sucks

Posted at 8:22pm on Tuesday, July 13th, 2004

I wasn’t going to say much about the launch of the new, redesigned AMG. I use the site many times a week (it’s a dangerous music habit I’ve got) and was expecting something simpler, cleaner and easier to use….

Imagine my surprise then, when the new site launches and it completely sucks. In 3 tries to get there I’ve had timeout errors twice. The navigation is considerably poorer, there’s less information to each page and some information is now subscription only.

It’s slow, and it blows. And I’m not the only one who thinks so.

British ley lines ‘the worst in Europe’

Posted at 1:21pm on Monday, July 12th, 2004

Ley lines in certain parts of Britain are becoming so congested with hippies, travellers and mildly frightening-looking people with coat hangers that the government has today announced a multi-million pound ten year ley line building programme.

Plenty more where that came from.

Looks like the new album is going to live up to my expectations of the first one… Thank God for that. They deserve to be great - shame the last album let them down…

Leninade is a soda pop that truly captures the spirit of the Russian Revolution! It’s Red, it’s Bubbly, and it goes well with Vodka!
