Sharwoods Bundh Advert music

Posted at 11:40am on Tuesday, November 25th, 2003 by

Given that I’ve received a considerable amount of search engine traffic looking for the name of the music on the Sharwoods Bundh ad I thought (being the helpful kind of guy that I am) that I would try and find out what it is…

The lovely people over on the message boards at Commercial Breaks and Beats have come up with the answer. It’s “Mundian to Bach Ke” by Punjab MC. And you can buy it here (on an album) or here (on a CD single)

There… Aren’t I nice?

Can’t win the rugby, but luckily they can find the toilet

Posted at 9:42am on Tuesday, November 25th, 2003 by

The Register reports that the Australian Continence Management Strategy has published a national map of public toilets. And I thought it was us who were pissing ourselves at the moment?

What a load of old tosh

Rolling Stone‘s top 500 albums of all time. I’m afraid I seriously disagree! How on earth can the Beatles score 3 in the Top 5 and 4 in the Top 10? Bollocks. Better place to look (IMHO) is the The Mojo Collection.

Privacy statement on RFID

Posted at 12:52pm on Monday, November 24th, 2003 by

CASPIAN (and many, many others) has issued a position statement on the use of RFID in the retail sector. Nothing too surprising in it. Shame all the news is about privacy concerns, and not how the industry is taking notice and changing the way they do things (like M&S, for example).

MP3.com archive to be destroyed…

Posted at 11:17am on Monday, November 24th, 2003 by

From Kuro5hin:

Vivendi Universal recently sold the MP3.com domain to CNET. That in and of itself is a yawner. MP3.com doesn’t really fit the Vivendi profit model, so it’s understandable that they’re dumping it. Why this matters is they’re not selling the archive, containing more than a million songs by 250,000 artists. As of December 3rd, they’re destroying it.

Thanks Fourstar

Since 1997 these people have been rating things… From Star Wars villains through to Ben and Jerry flavours… God bless the Internet.
