Free festies on the rise again

Bank Holiday weekend saw yet another free festival. With Glastonbury selling out in 24 hours and a strong desire to remove the rampant commercialism that had consumed clubland it looks like people will be arranging their own fun this summer. 11 years after Castle Morton and 9 years after the CJB it’s nice to see a bit of DIY party action…

Health contracts. New Labour wankers

Oh dear. New Labour take one more step in their move to the nanny state… Another nail in the "responsibility" coffin. Apparently the obese and smokers will have to sign health contracts to follow their doctor’s advice. If you don’t give up or lose weight your treatments may be limited or you may even have to pay for them. Luckily only a discussion paper, but it says it all really…
