Alleged insider trader Andrew Carlssin claims to be a time traveller, explaining the fact that in just two weeks and with starting capital of $800 he managed to create a portfolio worth $350million in only 126 trades…
Story from Yahoo here. Can’t find any more references to it yet, but keep clicking here for Google searches…
Oh. Just found out that (rather unsurprisingly) this is a hoax – at Yahoo WWNtv it’s April 1st every day
Go to http://www.johnbanks.org/hit-ctrl-A.jpg and hit Ctrl-A. Note it is just a jpg… Only works in IE (due to the action and colour that Ctrl-A induces in the window).
Wow… Following a general Douglas Adams (RIP) thread I came across a site dedicated to Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged. This site actually has a very detailed and well put together COM object to allow you to assist Wowbagger in his quest (which was to insult every living thing in the universe, in alphabetical order – reference).
Anyway, the links page of the wowbagger site has a link to a Java version of the Infocom Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy Game. Mint. (Made all the better by the fact that I was once employed by an Infocom – although sadly not the same one).
For those with more than a passing interest… download the right Z-machine for your platform here and download your prefered Z-file here.

Got sent a link to this rather cool game about a Trogdor the Burninator (he’s a dragon). Seeking more information I then discovered this which explains Trogdor… Which led me to the whole sorry story of Strong Bad. You need sound, and a good few minutes to watch them all…
…stand directly behind your door, but do not open the door, even if the radiation knocks.
Thanks Doug for this. My favourite bit from the site where all these images come from?
“If there is a significant radiation threat, health care authorities may or may not advise you to take potassium iodide. Potassium iodide is the same stuff added to your table salt to make it iodized. It may or may not protect your thyroid gland, which is particularly vulnerable, from radioactive iodine exposure.”. This page may or may not interest you.
Clearly it would be a bad thing to go on about the war, now that our troops are actually in action… Having said that you may want to consider Mark Thomas and Chris Morris’s point of view. (also, how about a bit of TV Go Home?) For a brief moment of sobriety you may also want to visit the Iraq Body Count web site.
That both Jive Bunny and the Chuckle Brothers come from Rotherham. Amazingly that’s actually put the place up in my estimation…
