I know this is very old, but if you haven’t seen it before, go have a look at the Smoke Hammer, Chris Morris’ parody of cnn.com during the aftermath of 9/11 (or in English, 11/9 thanks). Being reminded of this got me to thinking of other Morrisean things, and in so doing found an excellent (if rather obsessive) fan site at Cook’d and Bomb’d.

This has had me entertained for hours (very hungover today, so no refunds will be given if you don’t find it as entertaining as I have)… They’ve built a site that gives you the degrees of separation between movie stars. For example, Kylie Minogue has a Marilyn Monroe number of 3 (Marilyn was in The Fireball with Mickey Rooney, Mickey Rooney was in Erik The Viking with Jim Broadbent, and Jim Broadbent was in Moulin Rouge with Kylie). I’ve been at this for hours, and haven’t managed to find any pair who have a number greater than three. If you can, please let me know.

I wouldn’t if this one had been the first one I had seen…

Really addictive table tennis game… Go to ShockPlay. It’s all Flash, so I can’t link you to the game… You’ll have to register, but it’s free, and well worth it. They’ve got 3 others on there at the moment: the bowling is superb, cave hunters is infuriating and the good old scalextric is always a winner.

Heh… We’ve all seen the articles in the Fortean Times and all over the web (for example here) that try and prove that Nasa faked the moon landings. Well… Now all over the place there are pages with even more convincing evidence

Hum… The BBC reports today that Nokia has announced that it, too, thinks that warchalking is theft.
Clearly this is a major thing for them, but surely this is somewhat akin to Microsoft telling us that holes in their software should not be exploited. If you’re using an insecure wireless LAN it really is your lookout, in the same way as if you have a confidential phone call in the middle of a library – anyone who wants to listen can. My mate Mr White has been involved in this – he finds networks all the time (it’s part of his job). Chalking is simply pointing out where they are. Christ, in some countries they do it anyway, and EasyNet are setting it up across Brighton now, for a small monthly fee.
If you can’t secure yourself, you shouldn’t be using the technology…
(At the moment warchalking.org is down – he was looking for a new host a couple of weeks ago – I assume that the bad press has caused him to get kicked off)

This bloke makes a big thing about the fact that he has number one google spot for the search term celebrity bestiality.
I was impressed until I discovered my mate Doug has the number one google spot for Britney shoving cock. Stick that in your ass (as they say).
